Truck Centre WA take out top honours…

Volvo Group Australia has announced its 2017 Metropolitan and Regional Dealer of the Year Awards, with Truck Centre WA and VCV Newcastle taking out the prestigious accolades.

Announced at VGA’s recent Annual Retail Handshake Conference on the Gold Coast, held in conjunction with the group’s national dealer conference, the awards reflect each dealership’s commitment to excellence across numerous aspects of business operation, including customer satisfaction and market share.

Presenting the highly coveted Metropolitan Dealer of the Year award to Phil Winkless, CEO of Truck Centre WA (TCWA), the President and CEO of Volvo Group Australia, Peter Voorhoeve, praised the TCWA team for its determination and commitment to customer service throughout the various economic climates of Western Australia.

“On behalf of Volvo Group Australia, I would like to thank you and Truck Centre WA for your continued investment and innovation in increasing your customer satisfaction,” said Mr Voorhoeve.

“The Volvo Group has a reputation for excellent customer service and you and your team continue to raise the bar in service and have stuck to your game plan throughout what has been a tough couple of years.

“While the Western Australian market is showing signs of coming back in 2018, I have complete confidence that your customer-centric approach will ensure your success regardless of the market.”

VCV Newcastle, under the leadership of Branch Manager, Scott Hughes, was awarded the title of Regional Dealer of the Year for the second year in a row – the first time a dealership has ever won the award for two consecutive years.

“Regional Dealer of the Year for two years in a row!” exclaimed Mr Voorhoeve.

“This is the first time this has ever happened and it goes to show that providing the ultimate experience to our customers can lead to increased business.

“The VCV Newcastle workshop is operating at an incredibly high utilisation, however your customers remain happy because you’re communicating with them, making clear agreements, planning ahead and getting them back on the road – and that’s what good customer service is all about in our industry. “Keep up the fantastic work and let’s see if you can make it three years in a row!”
